The Precinct Hotel is a family owned and operated venue transformed in 2007 from an archetypal 'old man's pub' with a colourful history (the Depot was in previous incarnations, the Greyhound, Bensons and a tiny miner's cottage housing Melbourne's first brothel) into a light filled, contemporary and stylish venue. Following its grand opening in early 2008, Precinct Hotel has been awarded Overall Hotel of the Year (Metropolitan) in 2009 and Best Outdoor or Non Enclosed Facility (Metropolitan) in 2009 and 2010 at the Australian Hotels Association (Vic) State Awards for Excellence.
