Blue Velvet Bar & Nightclub - Collingwood, Melbourne
This venue has now closed. The Blue Velvet Bar & Nightclub is an upmarket boutique bar, lounge, club, gallery and all round function venue. The main bar on the ground floor has tap beer as well as an extensive range of local and premium boutique beers.
The Blue Velvet Bar & Nightclub has a select wine list sourced from some of the best wineries in Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain and Italy. A full selection of cocktails are also available. On Level 2, there is the nightclub space with dancefloor and another bar. There is also a heated outdoor beer garden for your smoking and drinking pleasure
Blue Velvet has a new gallery extension called the whiteroom gallery. This space doubles as our lounge and performance space. The gallery space can be hired for functions (60 people) and also hides our exclusive VIP room (seating 12). The entire venue including the upstairs nightclub (120people) and full bar can also be hired for dance parties, exhibitions, performances, product launches, or for a variety of private functions like birthday's or other specialty functions.
On Level 2, Blue Velvet has a state of the art sound system and DJ booth with Pioneer CDJ Mk3-turntables, Pioneer mixer, Technics classic turntables, foldback, large Subwoofer and laser lighting console. The dance floor also has its own bar and can be hired for functions.
The venue also has an outdoor licensed and heated smoking area and beer garden.
The White Room Gallery within the venue exhibits a number of contemporary artists each year. Their works contribute to the ambience and decor that is Blue Velvet.
This venue has now closed and has been reopened as The Moon Boutique.
