The Kent Hotel has four bars including the public bar, the saloon bar, the Verandah Bar, the Cocktail bar and the Steak and Seafood Grill. The Kent Hotel is a landmark in Hamilton's heritage; it was built in 1924 and was one of the first hospitality venues on beautiful Beaumont Street.

The Saloon Bar is situated at our Beaumont Street entrance and is designed as a comfortable area to sit with friends. With soft lighting and original lead light features this room sets the ambience for a quiet chat, a place to unwind and a great place to meet. This area of the hotel has lots of character makes a great rendezvous area to the Verandah bar, the Steak and Seafood Grill and our function rooms.

The Public Bar has large open spaces and entrances from both Beaumont and Cleary Streets. A huge bar frontage enables quick service and the big screen means you'll never miss the game, the race or the latest song clip. The Kent Hotel has the best live bands performing here regularly and the fun never ends with trivia on Wednesday night and Thursday night Karaoke. With promos and giveaways always happening, you can dance all night and relax through the day in the ever-popular public bar.

The Cocktail Bar is situated between the Public Bar and The Steak and Seafood Grill is The Cocktail Bar. It's a small cosy nook where you can choose from our popular list of traditional cocktails or have a go at inventing your own. There is always a cocktail available and you won't miss the action of our Big Screen and great live entertainment that the Kent has to offer.

The Verandah Bar is a unique venue. Located above the saloon bar. This room recently refurbished is sophisticated and timeless in decor, its comfortable and multi functional with its table seating as well as irresistible leather lounge seating and art deco high stools. The walls are covered in pressed metal giving a traditional feel and honouring the age of the Hotel. Surrounded by our grand verandah you can sit and watch the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Beaumont Street, or snuggle up in front of the fire on a winter's night. There are DJs from Thursday to Saturday nights.
