Ambar - Perth
Ambar is the number one place to be on any given weekend. Voted #1 nightclub in the Perth Dance Music Awards '03,'04,'05, '06, '07, '08, '09, '10 and 2011. Voted #42 in the world (DJ Mag) by an array of international DJs.
Born from the brain of Perth local Liam Mazzucchelli after a desire to find a venue where the Underground was promoted; where the music and club scene could flourish within his own parameters. The Perth scene was at a place where the opening of such a venue captured a part of the market which was hungry for a place to play and expand in.
Since the early days Ambar has grown to be Perth's premier Breakbeat venue, being voted number 42 in the world, making it number 1 in Australia, in the DJ Mag Top 50 Clubs poll in 2006. Ambar was the only Australian nightclub to feature in DJ Mags Top 100 Clubs poll in 2011, where it polled in at #77.
Ambar has also been the pioneer of local and national DJs, supporting many budding DJs get off the ground and assisting them in becoming Perth Legends. Ambar has been the driving force behind getting promising Eastern state DJs names in Perth, as well as creating an environment for local DJs to become Perth's highest ranked and most revered players.
